Hello! I'm Natwan
A UX-focused product designer based in New York City.
With over four years of experience as a designer, my journey began in property management at Great Jones (now StreetLaneHomes), before transitioning into open-source software with Tidelift. Both fields were new to me, demanding that I quickly learn entire domains while simultaneously growing as a designer. These challenges have been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to develop significantly as a UX-focused product designer. I’m excited to see where this design journey will take me next!

How did I get started in design?
I got my bachelors degree in Psychology in 2019, and had been both serving and bartending for almost 8 years. I knew I had a talent and love for meeting and interacting with people, and that I wanted to utilize my social skills alongside my desire to reach people in deep, and meaningful ways. This pathway led me to into design. My UX design journey started off in service design at Great Jones, now Streetlane, and has since evolved into user-focused experience designing for software, with my most recent work being a web browser extension, alongside integrations on developer-focused platforms with Tidelift.

Who is Natwan outside of design?
I am a devoted dog dad to a lovely pitbull mix named Harley. He's super energetic and therefore requires quite a bit of love and exercise. I also am a huge Japanese animation nerd and love both watching anime, and reading manga (LOVE to talk about the current shows I am watching or reading). I love to cook and host friends for dinner parties, or watch parties, and I am currently trying my hand at Pottery, hoping to develop enough skills to actually have some well designed pieces to showcase soon! :)
